In the Fullness of Time Exhibition Campaign & Publication

As the heart of Western New York culture, the Burchfield Penney Art Center celebrates the diverse art and artists who call and have called Buffalo home. Throughout White Bike’s decade-long relationship with the Center, we’ve had the opportunity to collaborate on many an exhibition, but none as sprawling as In the Fullness of Time: Painting in Buffalo, 1832–1972—an unprecedented exhibition of 100 works that covered the history of the practice of painting in Buffalo from the time of its founding. 

White Bike worked closely with the Center to develop a wordmark that played a central role in the exhibition’s promotional materials, from billboards to banners to door decals. To highlight the range of the works, an intentionally diverse color palette was curated to accentuate key pieces from the exhibition.

To memorialize the exhibition, we collaborated with the curatorial team at the Center to design and edit a 240-page hardcover book that featured biographies of all 86 artists in the exhibition.
