Ted’s came to us because they wanted to refresh their iconic 87-year-old brand. So we got to work. We helped them articulate (for the first time) the unique brand position Ted’s occupies, and we pioneered the “hot dog culture” that defines the Ted’s experience. We started with an audit of their existing visual identity, then evolved the brand in a way that was both true to its history, as well as appropriate for today’s audiences — we call it “fresh vintage.” From managing photography to providing social media assets for their internal brand managers to use, from in-store marketing to mass-media advertising, we continue to help Ted’s develop more channels to drive awareness and sales. White Bicycle has steered Ted’s through a re-design of all existing menu boards, the launch of a new website, product packaging, apparel, and more. In 2012, when it came time to open their new flagship store on Union Road in Cheektowaga, White Bicycle provided design support for signage, interior and exterior design elements, and even conceived a life-sized Mr. Ted mascot to be constructed in new store as an attraction for children and their families.
