The most comprehensive foundation in Western New York, more than 60% of our community benefits from the work The John R. Oishei Foundation does.White Bike worked with the organization’s 10-person leadership team to articulate the brand and pin down key messages in preparation to redesign and redevelop content for the Foundation’s website. 

Throughout the process, one thing became clear: While the Foundation’s impact is felt throughout our region, they’re a humble group that gives credit where credit is due—and that’s to the grantees and partners who are making lasting change in our community. 

To bring that story to life, we tapped photographer Aitina Fareed-Cooke from Get Fokus’d Productions to shoot striking portraits of leaders from Buffalo String Works, the Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club, and Say Yes Buffalo, among others. Those portraits, coupled with each individual’s perspective about the Foundation, became the hero of the website, which was built by Ingenious Inc. 

Throughout the website project, we worked within the foundation’s existing visual brand platform, leveraging our collaborations to strengthen the brand standards, clarifying rules for use of typography in various applications, and advancing a transparent system. Additional collaborative appreciation to our friends Pete Reiling and Mike Gluck who pitched in on concept and content for this project.
