Grassroots Gardens WNY

Grassroots Gardens WNY is a determined group of activists who educate and lead committed neighborhood gardeners. Their work is rooted in the belief that a garden has the power to transform an urban neighborhood.

White Bicycle worked with Grassroots Gardens WNY to evolve its brand upon the announcement of a merger and a $250,000 growth campaign. This announcement launched the largest fundraising initiative in the history of the organization. The initiative was met with a refreshed logo, a new brand position, an updated look and feel, stationery, campaign strategy, and outreach tools that are used at events and in conversation with sponsors, donors, volunteers, and students.

The growth campaign theme — 'i dig' — serves as call for supporters to take action through fun, approachable, and smart messaging and illustration. Stickers, totes, tees, and lawn markers are a few items that are handed out during events that GGWNY attends to reach out to gardeners and community members. Collateral materials with campaign specifics are used for sponsorship converastions.
